NOTES OF INTEREST
Cover Photo: It was kind of a snowy, overcast day when we took this picture. The mountains are barely visible. It was very quiet, and I resisted the urge to go over and step on the thin layer of ice and make it crackle underfoot. I like places like this where one can go and be alone with God with nothing to interrupt the peacefulness except perhaps a bird or animal of some kind. We all need a little “quiet place” once in a while.
Benevolent Offering: Following the service this morning, the elders will be at the back of the sanctuary with offering plates. This is for a benevolent offering for those who desire to give to this ministry. The gifts are used to help those in need in the Prairie Hill community.
Daylight Savings Time Begins Next Week-end: Don’t forget to “spring ahead” Saturday evening before going to bed.
Pictures for Directory: If you would like a picture taken (or an updated photo taken) for the Church Directory, please come to the Fellowship Hall after the morning worship.
Spring Interlude begins next Sunday: On March 14, 21, and 28 we will be taking a break from our regular Adult Bible Fellowship classes. During that time we will be offering some three-week elective classes that will be open for all of our adults. Please see the enclosed insert for information on each class.
Men’s Noon Bible Study: The Men’s Brown Bag Bible Study meets at 12:00 p.m. on Fridays. Bring a bag lunch and join other men in Bible Study.
Stuffed With F.L.U.F.F. Puppet Team: The Puppet Team is getting ready for a new production. Rehearsals will be each Friday after school (3:30-5:00 p.m.) If you are interested or have questions, please contact Kathleen at 952-210-1255.
Do You Sew? The puppet team has a couple of simple sewing jobs that we need help with. The first job is making choir robes for the puppets - VERY simple pattern. We need a dozen robes, so this could be divided up between several people. The second job is to make curtains that can be hung on pressure rods to cover the back windows to our sanctuary. This job, too, could be divided between people. Fabric and directions will be supplied for both jobs. The choir robes need to be completed within a couple of weeks. The curtains aren't needed until mid-May. Please call Kathleen at 952 210-1255 or e-mail to kids@phefc.org if you have questions, or are able to help.
Family Meal: Our next Family Meal will be Wednesday, March 17 at 5:30 p.m. Menu will be beef sandwich and salad bar.
Chit-Chat and Craft Event March 20: All Prairie Hill women, come join your Prairie Hill friends for a time of fellowship on Saturday, March 20, 3:00-9:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Come and go as you wish! For those who are present around dinnertime, we will consider ordering take out. Bring a snack or beverage to share and your favorite craft (if you like.) Questions? Call Nicole Pearson at 952-942-7203.
Change of Date for 2010 VBS: Please mark your calendars for this summer’s Vacation Bible School, which will be held August 2-6. Four year olds through 5th grades (completed) will be invited to join us at HERO HEADQUARTERS: Where Kids Join Forces With God! See bulletin insert.
