convey a sense of quiet and peace.
Perhaps dragonflies and damselflies flit quietly around the same pond. These last busy days of the summer seem
especially appropriate to enjoy the natural expressions of peace and constancy
that God has placed in the world.
Having just returned from a trip across South Dakota and Wyoming, we
were privileged to experience a number of these. One need only to pause and enjoy the grandeur of a clear starry
night, the gentle gurgle of a small creek, the majesty of the mountains, the
stateliness of tall trees, or the quietness of a pond to find a moment of
tranquility. These ageless beauties are
reminders of the lasting peace that only God can give.
The Monthly Choir is back! The choir will sing on Fall Kickoff
Sunday, September 12th.
There will be one rehearsal on Saturday, September 11 from 10:00
a.m. until noon. All those
interested in singing with this fun group are invited to join. Please see Erik for music.

Tuesday Morning Women’s Bible Study: Soul
Purpose, Prairie Hill’s morning Bible Study,
begins on September 14. Two studies are

‘A Woman’s Heart,
God’s Dwelling Place,’ and
Kay Arthur’s study of Hosea, ‘A Love That Will Not Let Me Go’

Fundraiser Dinner Theater: The Stuffed
With F.L.U.F.F. Puppet Team will be presenting a repeat
performance of “Catch The Wave” on Sunday September 19,
5:30-7:30 p.m.
The cost of the tickets is $5.00 and is kept low so that you can invite friends, neighbors,
and family to the performance. (The
ticket price covers the cost of the dinner.)
There will be a free will offering taken following the program for the
puppet ministry. Tickets are available
after the service in the narthex.
Valley Free Women’s Fall Retreat Invitation: Valley Free Church is having a Women’s Fall Retreat October 8-10 at Big Sandy Camp near McGregor, Minnesota and have invited women of Prairie Hill to join then. “You will be greeted with familiar faces and a variety of relaxing activities such as: hiking, volleyball, a climbing wall, naps whenever you like, and a bon fire complete with s-mores.
